Rejecting Hate Targeting the Cincinnati Islamic Community Center in Westwood
The Greater Cincinnati Board of Rabbis stands firmly with our Muslim neighbors and the Cincinnati Islamic Community Center (CICC) following the break-in, vandalism, and threatening language left for the community that occurred on Monday, August 3, 2026. We condemn, unequivocally, any act of violence directed at people because of their faith, and we especially condemn violence in a sacred space that is meant to provide a feeling of community and hope. Every person deserves to gather, learn, and practice their faith without fear.
Our city is stronger when people of different faiths stand together, particularly in moments of fear and uncertainty. We extend our support, prayers, and solidarity to the entire Muslim community, and we reaffirm that hate has no home in Cincinnati
An attack on one faith community is an attack on the freedom of all of us to worship freely and live together in peace.
